Silhouettes
The silhouettes are each unique. The decoration is hand painted and inlaid in the layers of each cylinder, defined in part by the slipcasting technique.
Due to the translucency of the porcelain the decoration can be seen through the multiple layers. The inspiration is from the Woods, where depth and atmosphere creates poetry.
In the largest cylinders, named “Silhouettes from the Woods,” up to six layers are stored in the ceramic material. These were first exhibited at the Crafts & Design Biennale 2011 in Kolding.
